Parking Procedures

RESIDENT PARKING INFORMATION

All resident parking for Plaza Verde is located in the Plaza Verde Parking Structure (PVPS). Residents may park in any unmarked stall.

Plaza Verde utilizes Permitless Parking. Residents who purchase parking are able to register and update their car's license plate through the Virtual Permit Management System.

CITATIONS

All citations are administered by UCI Transportation & Distribution Services. If you wish to contest/appeal the citation, please follow the instructions on the back of the citation for information on how to begin that process. DO NOT contact Plaza Verde regarding your citation as the office does not have the authority to automatically clear any citation.

NO PARKING ZONES

Residents and guests are only permitted to park in the designated spaces as noted on this page. Residents and guests will be cited if their vehicle is found in the following locations:

Fire Lanes
Brick pedestrian pathways/walkways
Staff Spaces
Delivery spaces
Arroyo Drive, California Avenue, Campus Drive
Posted construction areas
Courtyards
Lots within neighboring housing communities

QUARTERLY RESIDENT PARKING PERMIT

$305.00/QUARTER

To purchase resident parking privileges, come to the Plaza Verde Front Desk to obtain a Resident Parking Form that contains a unique coupon code. You will use the code and make your parking fee payment at the Plaza Verde Parking Structure Kiosk (located on the 1st floor). You will return the Parking Form with your receipt of payment to the Plaza Verde Front Desk for processing and account activation. You will be emailed with your account information to register your vehicle online. Please note that the parking kiosk only accepts debit/credit cards, so please plan accordingly.

VISITOR PARKING

Hourly Permit - $2.00/hour
1-Day Permit - $10.00/day
- Expires 11:59pm on the purchase date
24-Hour Permit - $14.00
- Expires 24 hours from the purchase date/time

Visitor parking is located in the Plaza Verde Parking Structure (PVPS) and are marked as visitor stalls. The PVPS kiosk is located near the 1st floor entrance closest to Arroyo Drive. This is the only machine where Plaza visitors can purchase permits to place on their vehicle's dashboard.

CLEAN AIR ZONE PARKING

Vehicles with a state-issued "Clean Air" sticker/decal may park in designated Clean Air Zone Parking stalls on floors 1-3 of PVPS if they are a registered Plaza Verde resident vehicle or have purchased and have a valid PVPS visitor parking permit.

OVERFLOW PARKING

Overflow parking is located at the East Campus Parking Structure (ECPS) located near the ARC on California Avenue. Residents may park in any unmarked yellow stall on Floors 2-6.

Visitor overflow parking is also available in ECPS, however visitor parking passes purchased in ECPS will only be valid at ECPS.

PERMIT PERMISSIONS

Plaza Verde residents may park in any unmarked stall within the Plaza Verde Parking Structure. Only Plaza Verde residents may purchase Plaza Verde Resident Parking Privileges.
Residents with a valid state-issued "Clear Air Vehicle" decal may park in stalls marked as "Clear Air Zone" Vehicles must be a registered Plaza Verde resident vehicle AND have an affixed "Clear Air Vehicle" decal in order to park in these spaces.
* The requirement to have stalls dedicated for "Clear Air Vehicles" is to ensure Plaza Verde remains in compliance with California's "Building Energy Efficiency Standards - Title 24".
ELECTRIC VEHICLE (EV) CHARGING STALLS: Since electric charging stations have not yet been installed, all electric charging stalls are designated as "Clear Air Vehicle" during the interim time until charging stations are installed. Once charging stations have been installed, vehicles may park in these stalls only if the vehicle is actively charging after which the vehicle must be moved to an authorized locations.
Plaza Verde residents may also park in any unmarked yellow stall on Floors 2-6 of the East Campus Parking Structure. In the event residents are not able to find any available parking stalls within the Plaza Verde Parking Structure, residents may overflow into the East Campus Parking Structure. There are no "Clean Air Vehicle" (CAV) parking spaces within ECPS and so resident with "CAV" vehicles must park in any regular resident stall. All electric vehicle charging stalls within ECPS are reserved for vehicles that are actively charging.

Bike racks are provided on-site and are scattered throughout the community within various bike racks, bike rooms (resident card-only access required) and at the Bike Hub (resident card-only access required).
